Got the apostiled marriage licenses back... woohoo.
On the odd side... our doctor and nurse practitoner signed the medical forms, all seemed good. Then we were told they must only have the doctor's signature. Even though the doctor did so last time now she wants to do another checkup before signing on her own. Appointments on Tuesday... if it gets too messy I'll just submit the copies with both signatures.
Home study visit tomorrow... the house is just going to have to be good enough. Melissa has been out of commission for over 3wks (mostly lying down)... so the rest of the family has been doing what we can. No one starved, went naked, ate off floors, lived in filth... but at the same time none of the spring break cleaning and re-organizing after winter happened, or anything that didn't *have* to get done, so the garage & workshop is a mess, the basement could be better, and the yard hasn't been mowed in over a week.
Fortunately Melissa can now hobble around without crutches so she was able to help sort through winter/summer clothes so we could take of that todo the last few days.
The only thing our SW'er wanted to see when she came back was Alina Grace's room, mostly just as a conversation between the two of them more than actually wanting to see it. Hopefully yours will be as easy as that. Glad your wife is feeling better. Best wishes!
ReplyDeleteAnd why, oh why, must the medicals be the most annoying piece to get?
I hope it is that easy. Though I want to see the look on her face when I ask her to approve us for 4 more unrelated :) We are only looking to adopt 2 and we only have 3 left on our USCIS clearance....
ReplyDeleteBUT Dennis has 3 siblings still in Ukraine and if his sister decides she wants us to come get her, the SDA *could* be difficult and not give us a referral for her cause we don't have approval for all of them -- even though we'd ask to separate and should get it since we already adopted Dennis. This was originally why we got approved for 4 before... we wanted to adopt S&D but might not have been given the opportunity.
